Strongly recommend this hotel.
Free WiFi was working perfectly. The downtown is within 10 minutes' walk. We appreciated our coffee with goodies at Gelateria Santa Trinita.
-
Convenient location, short walk from “ the Old Bridge ” and some shops and close to also the main train station
-
The location is excellent, not far from train station and next to the Arena river

We have mixed feelings here. We went with a standard room and were given a superior (deluxe) room overlooking the river, makes the room especially charming since the views were the best you could get. On the other hand, we think that the prices of those rooms are excessive, mostly because we believe that a hotel of that category and with those rooms facing the river should be much more renovated. That is to say, rooms seemed to us a little old, carpet, etc. I'm not saying they are bad but I expected something else. In view of all the above, I think it is an expensive hotel and that it should renovate its rooms to make them fit in with what they charge. Otherwise, great staff, good breakfast, good location.. It lacks that spark that makes everything perfect and that's why I think there are better options for that price.
I think it's an expensive hotel for what it has to offer. As I said, it's not that it's a bad hotel or anything, but I think a renovation of the rooms would be very good for it.

Ideal location for sightseeng and visiting museums and galeries, clean and tastfully furnished room, good breakfast, professional and helpful staff.
Poor sound isolation of rooms - your sleep depends considerably on calmness of your neighbours.

I must say that the staff makes me and wife at ease all the time. The staff is very friendly and helpful and courteous. The room is nicely decorated and clean. The location is superb. The hotel staff also accommodated our request for an early check in. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends.
I cannot think of any fault with this hotel.

The location was perfect with a view of the river and old bridge. Our suite was very comfortable. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was included in our booking and very good. The bedroom linens were divine. Bathrooms very nice.
Bathroom a little cool for showering although there were warmers in the bath, there was not a heating return.

The location was perfect for every activity. Our room was lovely. It faced the Arno so we were able to open our shutters and enjoy a great view. The staff was super helpful and very nice. The breakfast buffet was extensive, with a large assortment of everything. When I go back to Florence, I will definitely stay at Hotel Berchielli.

-
Fabulous location looking out over the Arno, between Ponte Vecchio and Santa Trinita.

I loved everything about hotel Berchielli. This hotel was the highlight of our italian trip in which we stayed in 6 different hotels in 4 cities. I cannot find anything negative about this hotel. Location was close to everything in Florence, most of the sights that tourists want to visit are within walking distance, there are many good restaurants around, shopping is all over the neighborhood, and some really nice spots to walk around and see some street performances. Staff was excellent, we did not have a single issue with any staff. Internet was stable, free, and fast. Breakfast was more than adequate. Room was nice and quite, and was cleaned promptly. We stayed with them for 5 nights and we did not have a single negative thing about anything or anyone in the hotel. This is something. This is a HIGHLY recommended hotel.

Excellent location and really friendly staff throughout the organisation who were out to please. All rooms were understated elegance.
-
great location outstanding breakfast comfortable room
rooms facing the river do have traffic noise which means closing the windows to have a noise free sleep environment.
-
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Also I liked the decor - very restful to the eye.
I thought the breakfasts could be improved. The cooked breakfast was poor and the fresh fruit could have been better.

Excellant location for site seeing, shopping and eating out. The hotel was very well laid out and the decor was superb through out. Our room had very good facilities. Overall my stay at the hotel was most pleasant.
No tea or coffee making facilites in the room. Extra plug sockets under or over the dressing table area for using your own hair dryer and straightners, plus better lighting for ladies trying to put there makeup on and doing there hair.
